Art therapy is a way to visually communicate thoughts and feelings that are challenging to put into words; it is a powerful tool in communication. Creative and expressive therapies can be integrated into psychotherapy and counseling not only because they activate the potential for nonverbal language but also because of the inherent ability to support people of diverse age groups to explore emotions and beliefs, reduce stress, resolve problems and conflicts, and enhance their sense of well-being.
